Your former employer has funded a personal learning budget for you on Learnerbly as part of your leaving package. It is yours to spend on courses, books, coaches and events for whatever comes next, and everything is pre-approved. This article explains how to get in, what you can do, and what happens when the period ends.
Signing in
Open the invitation email titled "Your learning continues". It tells you who funded the budget, how much it is and the date your access ends.
Go to app.learnerbly.com/login and enter the personal email address to which the invitation was sent.
Check your inbox for a secure sign-in link and click it. There is no password to remember: you get a new link each time you sign in.
The first time, you will be asked a few questions about your interests and how you like to learn. Nothing about your job.
If you cannot find the invitation, check your spam folder or ask the person at your former company who arranged the budget to have it re-sent.
Spending your budget
Your remaining balance is shown at the top of the page. Browse or search the catalogue and request anything that will help you: an online course, a book, a session with a career coach, or a conference.
Requests within your balance are approved instantly. There is nobody to wait for. Learnerbly places the order, and you will hear from us when it is on its way.
Requests above your balance are refused before they are created, so you cannot accidentally overspend. Choose something within your remaining amount, or ask your former employer whether they can top it up.
Career coaching is available in the catalogue like any other resource.
The catalogue and prices you see depend on the country you are based in.
Your privacy
What you learn is private to you. Your former employer cannot see your requests or your activity, there is no activity feed, and no other members of the organisation are visible to you. Your requests are never shown to anyone else.
Reminders and when access ends
You will receive an email 30 days, 14 days and 3 days before your access ends, each showing how much you have left to spend.
On the end date:
your access closes automatically;
anything you have already purchased still arrives, including any sessions or subscriptions already placed;
any unspent budget expires with your access, so it is worth using it while you have it.
Only your former employer can extend the date or add money through Learnerbly. If you think you need more time, ask them before the end date.
Frequently asked questions
I have not received the sign-in link.
Make sure you entered the exact personal email address the invitation was sent to, then check your spam folder. The first link after an invitation can take a minute to arrive.
Can I use my work email instead?
No. Your work email will stop working when you leave, so your Learnerbly account is tied to your personal address.
Can I keep my old Learnerbly account or history?
Your account with your former employer is closed as part of your leaving. This is a fresh, separate account.
Can I pay the difference for something that costs more than my balance?
Not through Learnerbly. Requests above your remaining balance are refused.
Can I get the budget paid out instead?
No. The budget can only be spent on learning through the Learnerbly catalogue.

Use the chat in the bottom corner of the app or email Learnerbly support. For questions about the amount or the end date, contact the person at your former company who arranged the budget.
