Using Teams to interact with Learnerbly

B
Written by Ben Wellard

The teams integration for Learnerbly provides three main abilities for users of the integration.

  • Chat with the discovery agent, and get recommendations for resources

  • Make requests for resources, and provide shipping information

  • Approve or Deny requests made by users that have you as their approver

Chat with the agent

For a user with the app installed, simply select the New Message button at the top of your teams instance (or press Command/CTRL + N)

Search for Learnerbly Discovery Agent, and press Enter, to begin the chat.

From within this chat, talk to the agent in normal language, and describe what kind of content or topic you would like recommendations around.

The agent will respond with up to 5 cards containing learning resources related to that topic.

Clicking on Request This for a chosen resource will bring up the checkout flow.

First, the flow will ask what variation of the resource you would like (hardback/paperback, course or subscription length etc.)

Then, the flow will ask for delivery details for physical products

On clicking Submit Request, the request will either be auto-approved (if your budget rules consider this to be below the auto-approval threshold) or will instead be sent to your approver, to either Approve or Deny.

Manage Requests as an Approver

Users who are set up as approvers for other users, and that have the Learnerbly Teams app installed, will receive messages on Teams any time they are asked to either approve or deny a request.

You can choose either Decline or Approve. A note is mandatory for a Decline, but optional for an Approve.
