Coaching Sessions at Learnerbly — What You Need to Know

Learnerbly offers access to a range of 1:1 coaching sessions with professional coaches across a variety of specialisms. This article outlines what to expect when you book a coaching session through the platform.


Booking a coaching session

To book a coaching session, browse our coaching providers on the platform and request a session directly from the coach's listing page. You can view all available coaches in one place here: Find Your Coach. Once your request is submitted, the coach will contact you within 24 hours to arrange a suitable time.

Your session or package of sessions must be scheduled and completed within 3 months of the date your booking is recorded — this applies whether you have booked a single session or a package of multiple sessions. Please make sure you respond promptly to your coach's outreach to make the most of this window.


Introductory calls

Some coaches include a free introductory call as part of their offering. This is separate from your main coaching session/s and is designed to help you and your coach align on goals before your sessions begin. Check your coach's listing page for details on whether an introductory call is included.


How sessions are delivered

Coaching sessions are typically delivered via video call (e.g. Zoom or Google Meet). When scheduling with your coach, please confirm which platform will be used and make sure you have the correct link before your session.


Attending your session

  • Join your session on time using the link provided in your calendar invite.

  • A 15-minute grace period applies to all sessions. If you or your coach hasn't joined within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session may be treated as a no-show.

  • Sessions end at the originally scheduled time regardless of a late start. If you arrive late, the coach is not obliged to extend the session beyond the scheduled end time, though they may choose to do so as a goodwill gesture. If your coach is late, they will offer you the remaining full session duration if you are able to stay.


Cancellations and rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule a session at no cost provided you give at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time.

  • To cancel or reschedule, contact your coach directly as soon as possible.


No-shows

  • If you do not attend a scheduled session and have not provided at least 24 hours' notice, the session will be counted as used and will not be available for rebooking.

  • If your coach does not attend a scheduled session, you are entitled to either reschedule at no cost or request a refund of the session. Please note that a refund in this context means your personal learning budget on Learnerbly will be restored, allowing you to rebook with the same or an alternative coach, or use the balance towards another resource on the platform.


Technical issues

If you experience technical difficulties during a session, make reasonable efforts to reconnect within the scheduled window. We recommend sharing an alternative contact method with your coach when scheduling, in case of connection issues on the day.

If the session cannot proceed despite reconnection efforts, it will be rescheduled at no cost.
